Drum Tuner

How to Use

Start the mic and allow microphone access.

Choose your drum (or leave on “None” for free mode), set your target frequency, and select the number of lugs.

Hit near each lug one at a time and press Capture. The tuner will log the pitch for that lug.

Check the colors:

🟩 Green = very close to target/median

🟨 Yellow = slightly off

🟥 Red = far off, adjust this lug

Adjust tension (tighten for flat / loosen for sharp), re-hit, and capture again.

The goal is to bring all lugs close together, minimizing the spread. The Balance Score shows overall evenness—closer to 100 = a perfectly balanced head.

Per-Lug Grid Tuner (Pro)

Measure each lug’s pitch from the mic, compare to your aim and to the drum’s median, and balance the head precisely.

-50¢ flat+50¢ sharp
Lug grid
Capture each lug close-mic, one by one. Colors = balance.
Drum median
— Hz • Spread ¢
Aim to minimize spread (difference between highest and lowest lug in cents).
