FAQ – Electronic Drums

Welcome to the official FAQ page of World Drummers

Here you'll find clear and updated answers to the most common questions we receive from drummers around the world — whether you're building a full electronic drum kit, converting your acoustic set, or just getting started with eDrums

Q: Are your cymbals compatible with all drum modules?
A: Our dual-zone crash cymbals are compatible with virtually all electronic drum modules including Roland, Alesis, 2Box, Pearl Mimic Pro, and more.
Triple-zone ride cymbals require modules that support two separate inputs for the ride (e.g. Roland TD-17 and above)

Q: Do your cymbals have choke functionality?
A: Yes. All of our cymbals feature a full 360° choke sensor — unlike many others that only support 180° choke. You can grab the edge at any point to stop the sound instantly

Q: What materials are the cymbals made of? Are they quiet?
A: Our Black Knight cymbals are made of soft rubber for natural rebound and reduced noise.
The Phantom series uses a silicone surface, which is even quieter — perfect for home practice and silent rehearsal environments

Q: Can I convert my acoustic drums to electronic?
A: Absolutely. Using our internal dual-zone triggers, mesh drum heads, and cymbals, you can turn any acoustic kit into a fully functional electronic or hybrid drum set
